This project is located south of the rear building of the Academia Sinica Institute of Chemistry and the Modern History Archives, with a road to the east and a Taipower high-voltage power tower to the south. This location is somewhat sensitive. Chemical-related buildings often evoke associations with waste gas, hazardous substances, and so on. One of the key goals of this project is to transcend these established negative impressions and create a forward-thinking chemistry center that is humane, healthy, and friendly.

The spacious open space on the ground floor is filled with greenery and features an ecological pond.
