    Dounan Station, formerly known as \"Taliwu Station\", was rebuilt and completed in March 1945. It is the last station built in Taiwan during the Japanese colonial era and is of great historical significance. In the early days, it was the gateway that Yunlin children had to pass through when they went out to work and it was the \"hometown station\" for Yunlin wanderers.<\/p>

    The square in front of Dounan Station underwent a major renovation in 2008. The surrounding railway depots were also renovated and revitalized, creating spaces such as the Taliwu Lifestyle Aesthetics Museum, an ecological corridor, and the Taliwu Picture Book Museum. These spaces showcase Dounan's rich but lesser-known traditional arts, such as glove puppetry, wood carving, and bamboo art. The Taliwu Square in front of the train station features a sugar iron locomotive, a historically significant and unique installation \"art work.\"<\/p>

    We believe that the cross-station building should be defined as a \"low-key yet prominent landmark,\" self-explanatory without destroying the historical flavor of the original station.
