Hsinchu Gas Company Service Center Architectural Competition

Strategically located at the intersection of Dongda Road and Beida Road in Hsinchu City, the project site sits adjacent to Dongda Park and the Cultural Affairs Bureau, offering both prime accessibility and scenic surroundings. The architectural design maximizes these geographic advantages through the thoughtful integration of balconies, strategic openings, and sun-shading devices, enhancing both aesthetics and environmental performance.

The building emphasizes natural ventilation and daylighting to reduce energy consumption and promote occupant comfort. Internally, the structure accommodates multiple functions, including a public service center, multipurpose exhibition hall, private dining area for Hsinchu Gas employees, development office, training facilities, and more. Each space is carefully planned to ensure functional efficiency and user satisfaction.

Sustainability lies at the core of the design. This green building features a green balcony system, rainwater harvesting, solar panels, and even a wind turbine generator, transforming it into a model of environmental responsibility. Its clean and modern façade reflects the innovative spirit of the area, while the integration of green technologies establishes the building as a landmark of sustainable architecture in Hsinchu City.
